General

Individuals in crisis can connect with trained counselors across the United States.

People do not have to be suicidal to call.

Reasons to call include: substance abuse, economic worries, relationships, sexual identity, illness, getting over abuse, depression, mental and physical illness, and loneliness.

General

A live, trained Crisis Counselor available for anyone, in any type of crisis.

Crisis doesn’t just mean thinking about ending your own life.  It’s any painful emotion and anytime you need support. 

Military/Veterans

Veterans, Service Members, National Guard and Reserve, and family/friends can connect with caring, qualified responders with the Department of Veterans Affairs. You don’t have to be enrolled in VA Benefits or health care to connect.

LGBTQ+

You’ll be connected to a Trevor counselor who is understanding of LGBTQ issues and won’t judge you. All of your messages are anonymous, and you can share as much or as little as you like.

Domestic Violence

Survivors of abuse, concerned friends or family members, and abusive partners seeking to change themselves can connect with The Hotline’s advocates.

Advocates will listen without judgement and will help you begin to address what’s going on in your relationship. 

Sexual Assault

A support specialist can offer you:

  • Confidential support
  • Someone to help you talk through what happened
  • Resources that can assist with your next steps toward healing and recovery
  • Referrals for long term support in your area
  • Information about the laws and resources in your community
